  • Always follow the manufacturer's recommended pressure settings. Most handpieces run between 30-40 psi and running at higher pressures will decrease the life of the bearings. 

  • Service each handpiece after every use.

  • Flush or purge each handpiece before removal from the air supply tubing for 20 seconds. Never run a handpiece without a bur.

  • Quick disconnect connections may be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton applicator.

  • Fiber Optic surfaces can be cleaned using isopropyl alcohol on a cotton applicator.

  • Never wash, spray or immerse any handpiece in cold sterilant or chemical disinfectants. This may damage or corrode metals.

  • Normal Lubrication

  • Spray lubricant should be sprayed or dropped ONLY into the drive air tube at the base of the handpiece which leads to the turbine. The drive air tube is the smaller of the two larger tubes and is usually the shorter one. 

  • Place handpiece on an air source and purge the handpiece for 20 seconds to expel any excess lubricant.

  • Wipe excess oil from handpiece.

  • Always remove the bur prior to reprocessing

  • Normal Sterilization

  • Avoid further damage if handpiece Vibrates or runs HOT and call the SPIN DOCTOR!
